InterClick is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our software quality team. The primary responsibilities include test development, test execution and test automation to support our growing line of products revolving around our industry leading Ad delivery platform. This position will require working closely with the product management to understand the product requirements, with the architect and software developers to understand the implementation in order to build and maintain the test environments required to qualify our product. The candidates must be able to work in a dynamic, high paced environment with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
Specific Duties Include:
• Work in an agile software environment and ensure the quality of our AdServing and Targeting products;
• Gain technical and functional understanding of our product architecture and become part of our feature and enhancement development effort;
• Write automated tests at many layers;
• Write SQL code as part of data setup and test case result verification;
• Analyze defects/test results and be able to identify root causes;
• Develop and executes test plans and procedures;
• Build test environments, which includes configuring and installing appropriate software;
• Document the successes and failures of all executed test procedures;
• Maintain currency on tools, methodologies, technologies and programming languages.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance;
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (Masters preferred);
• Knowledge of software test case design techniques;
• Experience in white box and automated API (or web service) level testing with one or more of the mainstream automation tools or custom built tools;
• Ability to write intermediate SQL code to drive and validate test cases;
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and pinpoint issues at a very granular level;
• Understand quality assurance methodologies and the principles of software design;
• Experience developing and executing test plans;
• Agile development experience such as scrum, test driven development, test first development, extreme programming;
• Ability to write code in an object oriented language C#, Java, Ruby, C++;
• Experience using automated testing tools at different layers;
• Self motivated and willing to “do what it takes” to get the job done;
• High degree of organizational skills;
• Team Player;
• Ability to multitask;
• Detail oriented;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
